The Global Open University (Nagaland) Act, 2006State Act of Nagaland · Act 3 of 2006

(1) For eachDeparbnent/Faculty, theuniversity shall establishaBoard of Study which shall comprise the following:

(i) Senior most member ofthe academic community inthe Depar!mentiFaculty , concemed as the Chairman;

in) The next senior most member ofthe academic community inthe Department/ Faculty concemed as the %ce Chairman; and (i] Three members of the Academic Community in the departmenflaculty as members of the Board.

(2) The Chairman, Vice Chairmanand members ofthe Board will be n o m t e d by the Pro Chancellor.

(3) The Board shall meet every quarter in a year and submit quarterly reports to the Academic Council which shall consider the reports at the earliest and report to the Governing and executive Councils.

(4) The reports of the Boards are advisory in character and mainly should relate to academic and connected a d m i ~ s t d v e matters with the utmost aim of converting - the DepartmentEaculty in to a Centre of Excellence.

(5) All other details relating to the conduct ofmeetings, functions etc., ofthe Boards of studies, shall be as per regulations.
