When, as a result of a decision in a appeal or a suit, it is necessary to make a fresh partition, the head of the family shall immediately be put in possession of the properties which no longer belong to the party who has received it. The inventory shall be corrected only to the extent it is strictly necessary to implement the decision and the valuation and description of the assets shall be maintained, notwithstanding that there is a complete substitution of the heirs.
