(1) Where any police officer seizes any gold which is alleged or suspected to have been stolen or which is found under circumstances which create suspicion of the commission of an offence, such police officer shall forthwith report the seizure of such gold to the nearest Gold Control Officer of or above the rank of a Superintendent of Central Excise.

(2) Notwithstanding anything contained in the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898, in every case refprred to in sub-section (1), the police officer shall immediately after the dismissal of the complaint or the conclusion of the inquiry or trial cause such cold-4^ be conveyed and delivered to the nearest Gold Control Officer of or above the rank of a Superintendent of Central Excise.
Effect of Ordinance and rules, etc., Inconsistent with other enactments.
112. The provisions of this Ordinance or any rule or order made thereunder shall have effect notwithstanding anything îocuftslfits&tt therewith contained in any enactment other than this Ordinance or in any instrument Having effect by virtue of any enactment other than this Ordinance.
Presumption a& to orden.
113. Where an order purports to have been signed by the Administrator or any person authorised in this behalf in exercise of any power conferred by or under this Ordinance a court shall presume, within the meaning of the Indian Evidence Act, 1872, that such order was so made by that person.

Service or order, decision, etc.
114. Any order or decision passed or any summons or notice issued under this Ordinance, shall be served—

(b) if the order, decision, summons or notice cannot be served in the manner provided In clause (a), by affixing it on the notice board of the office of the Gold Control Officer.
