Section 240: Work during night and bad weather impairing visibility

GSR 765 (E) Dedicated Freight Corridor Railway General Rules, 2018.Central Rules · 1989

(1) During night and bad weather impairing visibility, unless traffic block has been taken, no rail or overhead equipment shall be displaced and no other work which is likely to cause obstruction to the passage of trains shall be performed except in cases of emergency.

(2) When such work has to be undertaken in an emergency, the site of work shall be protected in accordance with the provisions prescribed in rules 241 and 242. However, in place of banner flag, a red light shall be displayed.
