Section 79: Fire Buckets

(1) Fire.Buckets of approved design with a conical base shall be provided in such numbers as the Licensing Authority may direct and shall be kept at all times full of water which sh. II be changed regularly twice every week. A pinch of lime shall be added to such water to prevent the breeding of mosquitoes. Buckets of dust or dry sand shall also be provided in such numbers as the Licef!Sing Authority may direct and the attention of the public shall be drawn to the water and sand buckets by play cards legibly painted and fixed immediately above them:

Provided that, in respect of premises in any area duly licensed for use for cmematograph exhibition before the coming into force of these rules and in respect of Touring Cmema, the existing fire buckets with round bottom may be used but shall be replaced by fire buckets with a conical base whenever they are next replaced.

(2) At least one bucket filled with dry sand shall be kept in some accessible position on the Stage in readiness for use in dealing with an electric fire.
