(d) making provision fo r the study of basic sciences with a view to supportilig other professional studies and thereby integrating such studies in the t;niversity curriculum;
(e} undertaking the integrallon of tcachmg. research and extension education in vetennary and alhed sciences "'llh a vi~ to promoting the productivity of animals and livestock ;
(!) conferring such degrees, diplomas, certi licatcs and other academic distinctions as the University may deem lit; and
