The Haryana Compulsory Registration of Marriages Act 2008(6 of 2008)State Act of Haryana · Act 6 of 2008

(1) Any person aggrieved by the order of the Registrar refusing to register the marriage under sub-section (4) of section 7 may, within a period of ninety days from the date of receipt of such order, appeal to the District Registrar in such manner and accompanied by such fee, as may be prescribed.

(2) The District Registrar, after giving an opportunity of being heard to the party concerned, may pass an order confirming the order of the Registrar or after recording the reasons in writing, direct the Registrar concerned to register the marriage or may pass such order as he may deem fit.
