The Haryana Compulsory Registration of Marriages Act 2008(6 of 2008)State Act of Haryana · Act 6 of 2008
(1) Any person aggrieved by the order of the District Registrar refusing to register the marriage under section 8 may, within a period of ninety days from the date of receipt of such order, appeal to the Chief Registrar in such manner and accompanied by such fee, as may be prescribed.
(2) The Chief Registrar, after giving an opportunity of being heard to the party concerned, may pass an order confirming the order of the District Registrar or Registrar concerned or after recording the reasons in writing, direct the District Registrar or Registrar concerned, as the case may be, to register the marriage or may pass such order as he may deem fit.
