Section 6: Term of office

The Himachal Pradesh Homeopathic Practitioners Act, 1979State Act of Himachal Pradesh · Act 3 of 1980

(1) Save as otherwise provided, the term of office of elected and nominated members shall be five years commencing from the date on which the first meeting of the Council is held after the members are elected under sub-section (3) of section 3:

Provided that the term of office of members nominated to the first Council shall be three years from the date on which the first meeting of such Council is held.

(2) An outgoing member shall continue in office until the election or nomination of his successor as the case may be.

(3) The outgoing member shall be eligible for re-nomination or reelection.
