Section 47: Penalty for false statement

If any person who is required to make a statement under this Act, wilfully makes a false statement or suppresses a material fact with the intention to mislead the prescribed

1. Substituted for the Word “imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or with fine not exceeding ten thousand rupees or with both” vide H.P. Act No. 2 of 2024.

26 THE HIMACHAL PRADESH TOURISM DEVELOPMENT AND REGISTRATION ACT, 2002 authority, he shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three months or with fine not exceeding two thousand rupees or with both.
