Section 217: Confirmation of bye-laws.

The Jammu and Kashmir Municipal Act, 2000Union territory Act of Jammu and Kashmir · Act 20 of 2000

(1) No bye-law made, under any section of this Chapter shall come into force until it has been confirmed by the Government and, published for such time and in such manner as the Government may prescribe in this behalf.

(2) The Government may cancel its confirmation of any such bye-laws, and thereupon the bye-laws, shall cease to have effect.
