Section 218: Power of Government to make bye-laws.

The Jammu and Kashmir Municipal Act, 2000Union territory Act of Jammu and Kashmir · Act 20 of 2000

(1) In any case in which no bye-laws have been made by the municipality under section 202 or section 203 or section 204 or section 214 the [State Government] may make bye-laws for that purpose.

(2) The bye-laws made under the aforesaid sub-sections shall cease to operate when the municipality makes bye-laws in that behalf.
