Section 7: Qualifications for Councillors.

The Jammu and Kashmir Municipal Corporation Act, 2000Union territory Act of Jammu and Kashmir · Act 21 of 2000

A person shall not be qualified to be chosen as a Councillor, unless :––

[x x x x] ;

(b) he has attained the age of [twenty-five years] ; and

(c) his name is registered as an elector in the electoral roll of any ward in the municipal area.
