Section 28: Application for registration.

(1) Every person intending to carry on a para-clinical establishment shall make an application to the Council for registration of the clinical establishment within a period of three months from the date of commencement of the Act.

(2) Every application for registration of para-clinical establishment under sub-section (1) or for renewal of the registration under sub-section (6) shall contain such particulars and shall be accompanied by such fees, as may be prescribed by regulations.

(3) The Council, if satisfied that the applicant and the para-clinical establishment fulfils such terms and conditions as may be prescribed, shall register the applicant and such para-clinical establishment and shall grant him in relation to the para-clinical establishment a certificate of registration in such form as may be prescribed within a specified period.

(4) The Council may reject an application if it is satisfied that the applicant or the para-clinical establishment does not fulfil the conditions prescribed under sub-section (3) and in every case where the application is rejected, reasons therefore shall be recorded in writing.

(5) A certificate of registration issued under this section, subject to the provisions of section 29 of the Act shall be in force and shall be valid for a period of five years from the date on which it is granted under sub-section (3) unless cancelled earlier as per provisions of the Act.

(6) An application for renewal of a registration shall be made within a period of six months before the expiry of validity of registration certificate issued under sub-section (3).
