Section 56: Responsibility of Master/Owner

Jharkhand Inland Vesseels Rules, 2020State Rules of Jharkhand · 1917

(i) The master of all inland vessels shall ensure that the vessel is provided with appliances and equipment for fire fighting and for protection from danger or explosion in accordance with these rules and that the crew of the vessel are well conversant with the use of theses appliances.

(ii) If in any case an inland vessel is unable to comply fully with the requirements set out in these rules and in all cases of vessel exceeding 45 meter in length the Fire Appliances to be provided are to be referred to the component officer for approval.
