The candidate must have attained the age of twenty six years but not have completed forty two years, as on the last date specified for receipt of applications:
Provided that, age relaxation shall be in accordance with the Karnataka Civil Services (General Recruitment) Rules, 1977 and the minimum qualification required shall be as specified in column (4) of the schedule.
Provided further that, age relaxation of one year, for each year of service, subject to maximum of ten years shall be given to a candidate who has been appointed as General Duty Medical Officer or Senior Medical Officer or Specialist under different schemes of Government, coming under the purview of the Directorate of Health and Family welfare services or Medical Education and schemes of National Rural Health Mission or national Health Mission in Karnataka or in Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike, either on contract or regular basis. However, the maximum age of the candidate, including age relaxation shall not exceed fifty years as on the last date specified for receipt of applications.
