In the Karnataka Compulsory Service by candidates completed Medical Courses (Counselling, Allotment and Certification) Rules, 2015 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules), in rule-5,-
(i) after sub-rule (1) the following shall be inserted, namely:- “(1-A) The nodal university shall prepare the combined merit-list within fifteen days from the date of the announcement of its results, by including the results of those private and deemed universities whose results are received within said periods.
(1-B) Proportionately equal to the number of vacancies to be filled by the merit list sent by the nodal University reserving the vacancies proportionately equal to the number of Government quota seats in private and deemed universities in respect of which results are not yet announced (1-C) Candidates whose results are declared after the specified fifteen days shall be included only in the subsequent cycle of counselling.
(1-D) The combined merit list shall also include candidates who have completed Diplomate of National Board (DNB)/Diploma courses from Government and Private teaching hospitals.
(1-E) The Nodal University shall adopt an appropriate normalization method for preparing the common merit list of MD/MS and DNB/Diploma candidates.”
(ii) after sub-rule (3-A), the following shall be inserted, namely:- “(4) Postgraduate candidates who opt for teaching hospitals of the Department during counselling shall be treated as Senior Residents during the period of compulsory medical services and all other candidates shall be treated as compulsory medical Services (CMS) candidates.”
