For rule 7 of the said rules the following shall be substituted, namely:- “7. Allocation and Reservation of Seats.- (1) The admission procedure in all private un-aided Professional Educational Institutions shall be in accordance with section 4 and shall be monitored by the admission Overseeing Committee constituted under Section 5 of the Karnataka Professional Institutions (Regulation of Admission and Determination of Fee) Act, 2006 shall be applicable for each college and course.
(2) All private professional education institutions imparting professional medical or dental course shall make admission through a single Common Entrance Test conducted on All India basis at State level and followed by Centralized counseling through a single window in accordance with such procedure as may be specified by the Admission Overseeing Committee constituted under the Karnataka Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission and Determination of Fee) Act, 2006 or admission in such private professional educational institutions may at the option of the said institution be done by the Entrance Test Committee through the Entrance Test Committee by the Karnataka Examination Authority.
(3) The procedure for allocation and reservation of seats as delineated in Section 9 of the Karnataka Professional Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission and Determination of Fee) Act, 2006 shall be followed the reservation policy as notified by the Government from time to time shall be followed.”
