Section 36: Application of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908
The Karnataka Land Grabbing Prohibition (Special Court) Regulations, 2017State Regulations of Karnataka · 2014
The Special Court shall have the same powers as are vested in the Civil Court under the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908, when trying an application in respect of the following matters namely:-
(a) enforcing the attendance of any person and examining him on oath;
(b) compelling the production of documents and material objects;
(c) notify a Commission for examination of witnesses; and
(d) every enquiry or investigation by the Court shall be deemed to be a judicial proceeding within the meaning of Section 193 and 228 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860.
