Section 37: Application of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973

The Karnataka Land Grabbing Prohibition (Special Court) Regulations, 2017State Regulations of Karnataka · 2014

The Special Court shall have the same powers as are vested in the Sessions Court under the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Central Act 2 of 1974) when trying offences under Chapter- XIV-A of the Karnataka Land Revenue Act, 1964 (Karnataka Act 12 of 1964) and under other laws in force in respect of the following matters namely:-

(a) enforcing appearance of the persons to be tried for the offences;

(b) enforcing the attendance of any person and examining him on oath; and

(c) compelling the production of the documents.
