Section 4: Appointment of members

The Karnataka Municipal Corporations and Municipalities (Property Tax Board) Rules, 2012State Rules of Karnataka · 1977

(1) Commissioner, Directorate of Municipal Administration and Inspector General of Registration and Stamps shall be ex-officio members of the Board.

(2) Two expert members who are not in the employment of the State/Central/Public Sector undertakings of whom;

a) one member shall be a person who is having knowledge and experience in the urban governance and law; and b) one member shall be an expert in accountancy and valuation properties.

(3) "Expert non-official members" shall be selected by the State Government from out of a panel of three persons proposed by a search Committee consisting of Secretary to Government, Urban Development Department; Secretary to Government, Finance Department and Secretary to Government Revenue Department.
