Section 1: Title and commencement

(1) These rules may be called the Karnataka Panchayat Raj (Conduct of Election) (Amendment) Rules, 2010.

(2) They shall come into force from the date of their publication in the official Gazette.

2. Insertion of new chapter III- In the Karnataka Panchayat Raj (Conduct of Election) Rules, 1993 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules),- rule, 85 may be re-numbered as rule 115 there of and before the said rule a so re-numbered, the following shall be inserted, namely:- “CHAPTER - III VOTING BY ELECTRONIC VOTING MACHINES
