Section 2: Definitions

The Karnataka Prohibition of smoking and Protection of Health of Non-smokers Rules, 2003.State Rules of Karnataka · 2003

In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires, a. ‘’Act’’ means the Karnataka Prohibition of smoking and Protection of Health of Non-smokers Act, 2001 (Karnataka Act 2 of 2003);

b. ‘’Code’’ means the Code of Criminal Procedure 1973 (Central Act 2 of 1974);

c. ‘’Police Officer’’ means a Police Officer, not below the rank of a Sub-Inspector of police;

d. ‘’Section’’ means a section of the Act.
