Section 5: Amendment of rule 18

The Karnataka State Civil Services (Regulation of Transfer of Teachers) (Amendment) Rules, 2022State Rules of Karnataka · 2020

In rule 18 of the said rules, for clause (ii), the following shall be substituted, namely:- “(ii) ‘Block’ (shall be read as ‘Educational Block’) has more than twenty five percent of vacant post:

a) a teacher can still seek the transfer within the block.

b) a teacher can still seek transfer outside the block in either of the following condition,

(i) Must have served continuously for ten years in same block and in same cadre; or

(ii) must have served minimum of fifteen years of cumulative service in all cadres within the same block.”
