Section 6: Amendment of rule 21

The Karnataka State Civil Services (Regulation of Transfer of Teachers) (Amendment) Rules, 2022State Rules of Karnataka · 2020

In rule 21 of the said rules, -

(i) for clause (vii), the following shall be substituted, namely:- “(vii) Requests for transfer within the block shall be considered in the first round followed by within the district counseling. Then, on requests for transfer outside the district shall be considered in the subsequent round of counseling.” 3

(ii) after clause (vii), the following shall be inserted, namely:-

(viii) ‘Block’ has more than twenty five percent of vacant post,-

(a) a teacher can still seek the transfer within the block.

(b) a teacher can still seek transfer outside the block in either of the following conditions, namely:-

(i) must have served continuously for ten years in same block and in same cadre; or

(ii) must have served minimum of fifteen years of cumulative service in all cadres within same block.
