Every Member is entitled to reimbursement subject to the maximum amount permissible under rule 3, and subject to the following conditions, namely:—
(i) the claim of reimbursement shall be limited to the actual amount paid by the Member after deducting the discount or any other pre-publication deduction in price of books offered by the publisher or dealer or an authorised agent or the seller of the books;
(ii) the reimbursement pertaining to a particular year may be permitted to be made in lump or in different occassions, but shall not exceed three times in that year;
(iii) the reimbursement procedure pertaining to each year shall as far as possible, be completed before the end of that year;
(iv) in case where the reimbursement pertaining to an year could not be completed in that year, the balance amount or the whole amount thereon may be permitted to be reimbursed in the succeeding year in part or in lump, as the case may be, but in no case after 9 months of the completion of the year.
Explanation.— For the purposes of these Rules, a period of six month and above, shall be treated as one year and a period below six months shall be ignored.
