Section 6: Sanctioning Authority

The Kerala Legislative Assembly (Reimbursement of amount incurred for the Purchase of Books) Rules, 2013State Rules of Kerala · 1951

(1) An application under these rules by the Chief Minister or a Minister or the Leader of Opposition or the Government Chief Whip shall be furnished to the Secretary, General Administration Department and an application by the Speaker or the Deputy Speaker or a Member other than those mentioned above shall be furnished to the Secretary, Kerala Legislative Assembly.

(2) On receipt of an application for reimbursement, the Secretary, General Administration Department or the Secretary, Kerala Legislative Assembly, as the case may be, shall verify the facts stated in the application with reference to the enclosures and the records available, and may issue orders sanctioning the admissible amount.
