Section 4: Constitution of the Board

The Kerala State Rural Development Board Act, 1971State Act of Kerala · Act 15 of 1971

(1) The Board shall consist of a Chairman and such number of members not exceeding ten as may be fixed by the Government from time to time.

(2) The members of the Board shall be nominated by the Government:

Provided that a majority of the total number of members of the Board shall be nonofficials who are members of the Panchayats in the State.

(3) The Chairman and members of the Board shall hold office during the pleasure of the Government.
