(1) The Administrator may hy notitleation in the (ilticial Appoint _ Gazette, appoint any person to hc a survey ollicer for all or any of purposes tticrit survey of this Regulalion. officer.

(2) Subject to the control of the Administrator and of any ,officer or authoritv appointed by hint in this behalf, every person appointed ,,,t4nder sub-seetion (I) shall exercise the powcrs and perform the duties of survey ollicer ‘vithin'stich local lintits and for such pei iods of time as the Adlitinistrator may direct.
