Section 2: Definitions

Madhya Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (Budget) Rules 2019State Rules of Madhya Pradesh · 2003

(1) In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires,-

(a) "Act" means the Electricity Act, 2003 (No. 36 of 2003);

(b) "Annexure" means Annexure appended to these rules;

(c) "Commission" means the Madhya Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission constituted under sub-section (1) of section 82 of the Act;

(d) "Financial year" means a period of consecutive twelve calendar months ending on the 31st day of March every year;

(e) "Previous financial year" means the financial year immediately preceding the current financial year;

(f) "Next financial year" means the financial year immediately succeeding the current financial year;

(2) All other words and expressions used in these rules but not defined specifically, but defined in the Act, shall have the same meaning respectively assigned to them in the Act.
