Section 14: Appointment by Promotion

(l) There shall be constituted a Committee, consisting of the members mentioned in Schedule-IV for making a preliminary selection for promotion of eligible candidates .

(2) ,!,he Cmnmittee shall meet at such in~ervals ordi!1_C!:I1ly_not exceed- __ ing one year. . .

(3) Such post as specified in Schedule-II to be filled by promotion, 16 percent posts for persons belonging to -Scheduled -Castes -and 20 percent-- post for the persons belonging to Scheduled Tribes shall be.reserved who are eligible for promotion under the provisions oLthe rule.I5.

(4) For the promotion on vacant posts reserved, the procedure shall be followed according to the instructions issued from time to tirrte by the Government in General Administration Department.
