Section 2: Definitions Maharashtra Private Universities (Establishment and Regulation) Rule, 2024 State Rules of Maharashtra · 2023
(1) In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires,-
(i) “Act” means the Maharashtra Private Universities (Establishment and Regulation) Act, 2023 (Mah. VIII of 2024);
(ii) “Form” means the forms appended to these rules;
(iii) “Secretary” means the Secretary, Higher and Technical Education Department, Government of Maharashtra, Mantralaya, Mumbai;
(iv)“Scrutiny Committee” means the Scrutiny Committee constituted under section 4 of the Act.
(2) Words and expressions used but not defined in these rules shall have the same meanings respectively assigned to them in the Act.
