Section 18: Increment to be drawn as a matter of course

An increment shall ordinarily be drawn as a matter of course unless it is withheld as a penalty under the relevant provisions of Shree Sai Baba Sansthan Trust (Shirdi) Service (Discipline and Appeals) Regulations, 2011. In ordering the withholding of increment the withholding authority shall state-

(1) the period for which it is withheld,

(11) whether the postponement shall have the effect of postponing future increments; and

(iii) whether the period for which the increment has been withheld will be exclusive of any interval spent on leave before the period is completed.
