Section 6: Prohibition against practising any profession or drawing salary as Member during tenure of office as Minister.

The Meghalaya (Ministers Salaries & Allowances) Act No. 4 of 1972State Act of Meghalaya · Act 4 of 1972

The Chief Minister, any other Minister or Minister of State shall not during the tenure or his office

(i) Practise any profession or engage himself in any trade or undertake for remuneration any employment other than his duties as Chief Minister, other Ministers or Ministers of State.

(ii) Be entitled to any salary or allowance as a member of the Legislative Assembly of Meghalaya.
