Section 5: Authorisation by Designated Officer for receiving application

The Designated Officer may authorise, by order, any subordinate officer or any employee (by whatever designation be called) of the Department or Office concerned to receive the applications made by the citizens to obtain any citizen related services as notified under sub-section (2) of Section 3 of the Act and issue the acknowledgment thereof to the applicant.

The name of such subordinate officer or employee who is duly authorised to receive the applications shall also be displayed on the notice board or website of the Department or office.
