Section 3: Amendment of (1) In the Principal Act, all the words ‘Village Council’ appearing in Principal Act

Section 2(b)(a) (iv), 2(b)(b), (c), Section 2 (b)(h), Section 7 subsection (1) (b)(c) (ii) & (iii), Section 7 sub-section (2), Section 9 sub-section (3), Section 11 sub-section (2), Section 12 sub-section

(2), Section 13 sub-section (1) & (2), Section 17 sub-section (1)

(ii) and sub-section (2) shall be substituted by the words “Local Body”.

(2) In the Principal Act, all the words, “Village Councils” appearing in Section 3 sub-section (1), Section 14, Section 15, Section 17 subsection (2), Section 18 and Section 19 shall be substituted by the words “Local Bodies”.
