The Registrar or deputy Registrar shall be the Running Officer for conduct of any election under the provisions of thisAct. ?he Retnming Officer shall inform the Government about the constitution of a new Council and he shall notify in the Official Gazette and two newspapers published fiom Nagaland, at least, sixty days prior to the expiry of the tenure of the existing Council and about the proposed schedule of elections.
