Section 327: Power to require the person to whom permission is granted make provision for passage or diversion of traffic etc

The Chief Officer of a Municipality may, by a written notice, require any person to whom permission is granted under section 323 to open or break up the soil or pavement of any street or who, under any other lawful authority, opens or breaks up the soil or pavement of any street for the purpose of executing any work to make provision to his satisfaction for the passage or diversion of traffic, for securing access to the premises approached from such street and for such drainage, water supply or means of lighting as may be interrupted by reason of the execution of such work and if such person fails to do it, the Chief Officer may cause the same to be done and recover the expenses thereof from such person.
