Section 328: Disposal of things removed

Any of the thing caused to be removed by the Chief Officer of a Municipality under this Chapter shall, unless the owner thereof turns up to take back such things and pays to the Chief Officer the charges for the removal and storage of such thing within such periods, as the Chief Officer may specify, be disposed of by the Chief Officer within seven days of the expiry of such period by public auction or in such other manner, as he thinks fit.

2. The charges for removal and storage of the things sold under sub-section

(1), shall be paid out of the proceeds of the sale thereof and the balance, id any, shall be paid to the owner of the things sold on a claim being made therefore within a period of one year form the date of sale, and if no such claim is made within the said period, the money shall be credited to the Municipal Fund of the Municipality.
