Section 33: Obstructing lawful authorities

If any person willfully obstructs or offers any resistance to, or otherwise interferes with the discharge of the functions of the prescribed authority or any officer authorised by him exercising any power, or performing any duties conferred or imposed upon it or him by in pursuance of this Act or the rules made thereunder, he shall be liable to punishment with imprisonment which may extend to three months or with fine not exceeding Rs 100 or with both.

34. Offences to be tried summarily- Notwithstanding anything contained in this act or in the Rules for Administration of Justice and police in Nagaland 1937 and in the spirit of the code or criminal procedure, 1973, all offences under this Act shall be triable summarily.
