Section 47: Power and the duties of police in respect of offences and assistance to the prescribed authority

The Nagaland Registration of Tourist Trade Act, 2000State Act of Nagaland · Act 6 of 2000

(1) No person shall, without permission from the person or authority concerned, efface, mutilate or disfigure or otherwise destroy or cause any damage to any sign board situated within a tourist area.

(2) Whoever contravenes any of the provisions of sub-section (1) shall be punished with a fine which may extend to one thousand rupees.

(3) Every Police Officers shall give immediate information to the prescribed authority of offence coming to his knowledge, which has been committed against this Act or any rule made thereunder and shall assist the prescribed authority in the exercise of his lawful authority.
