(1) All Graduate students of the University shall pursue their studies in residence on a full-time basis.
(2) For each degree, an approved course of study that meets University and School requirements shall be specified.
(3) Unless permission is granted by the School (for the purpose of field work, site visits etc.) enrolled students shall maintain presence in campus throughout the semesters.
(4) Graduate students may be granted leave only in unavoidable circumstances on the approval of the Dean of the School:
Provided that the period of leave shall be treated as absence for the requirement of attendance for a course.
(5) Each Course Instructor may decide on the optimum attendance required by the students in his or her course, subject to a minimum of seventy five per cent and if the student fails to comply with it, he or she may be disallowed to appear in the final examination or may be penalised by dropping a grade.
(6) All Graduate students shall enroll in courses for all semesters of the regular academic year from the semester of enrolment to the programme until conferral of the degree except when the student is granted leave of absence on medical, academic or personal grounds by the Dean of the School.
(7) The minimum academic requirements and grade point average for each course of study shall be specified for each programme at the start of the semester.
