Notwithstanding anything in this Act and the Statutes, the first ViceChancellor, the first Registrar and the first Finance and Accounts Officer of the Law University shall be appointed by the Chancellor on such salary as may be fixed by the Government and each of such officer shall hold office for a period to be fixed by the Chancellor but not exceeding three years: Provided that the Chancellor may lay down the procedure for such appointment as deemed fit.
