Section 12: Power of the State Government to make rules

The Odisha Compulsory Labour Act, 1948State Act of Odisha · Act 10 of 1948

(1) The 1[State] Government may, subject to the condition of previous publication by notification, make rules2 to carry out the purposes of this Act.

(2) In particular and without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing power such rules may provide for-

(a) appointment of an officer-in-charge of embankment, his duties and conditions of service;

(b) the conditions under which the labour and services under Section 5 should be performed;

(c) 1[x x x].
