Section 7: In the said rules, for rule 7, the following rule shall be substituted, namely

“7. Determination of vacancy and submission of requisition.— (1) The Director shall determine the number of vacancies preferably in the month of January every year and submit the requisition to the Commission for direct recruitment after obtaining approval of the Government.

(2) On receipt of the requisitions under sub-rule (1), the Commission shall invite applications from the eligible candidates through open advertisement made in two widely circulated Odia daily and in their website for filling up of the vacant posts by direct recruitment.

(3) The date on which and the places at which the written examination to be held shall be as decided by the Commission.

(4) The standard, syllabus and subjects of the examination shall be as decided by the Commission”.
