Section 4: Authorities for disciplinary proceedings

Prasar Bharati (Broadcasting Corporation of India) Conditions of Service and Authorities for Disciplinary Proceedings Regulations, 2016Central Regulations · 1990

The Disciplinary Authority specified in column (3) of the table given below, the Appellate Authority specified in the corresponding entry in column (4) of the said table, and the Reviewing Authority specified in the corresponding entry in column (5) thereof shall be the authorities for exercising their respective powers under the Central Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1965 in respect of the classification of posts specified against the corresponding entries under column (2) of the said table.

2. Group B/ Equivalent to Group ‘B’ Director General (Akashvani) or Director General (Doordarshan) or Member (Personnel) of the Prasar Bharati Board in respect of officers and employees posted in Akashvani, Doordarshan and Prasar Bharati Secretariat, as the case may be.

A Committee consisting of the Chairman, the Member (Finance) and Member (Personnel) of the Prasar Bharati Board.

3. Group C/ Equivalent to

(i) Station/Kendra Head of the level of Senior Time

(i) Regional Additional Director-General Director General (Akashvani) or Director 4 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART III—SEC. 4] Group ‘C’ Scale or above in respect of officials working in AIR stations/ DD Kendras.

(ii) Concerned officer of the level of Senior Time Scale in the respective Directorate in case of employees posted in other establishments of Prasar Bharati.

(ii) Concerned officer of the level of Additional Director General in the respective Directorate in case of employees of all other establishments of Prasar Bharati.

General (Doordarshan) in respect of employees posted in Akashvani or Doordarshan, as the case may be.

5. Applications of these Rules to pending proceedings: These Rules shall be applicable to any disciplinary, appellate or review proceedings as on the date on which these Regulations come into force and shall be decided accordingly.
