Section 38: Disposal of election papers

The Presidential and Vice-Presidential Elections Rules, 1974Central Rules · 1952

The packets and other papers referred to in rule 37 shall be retained for a period of two years from the date of declaration of the result of the election, and shall thereafter be destroyed unless a direction to the contrary is given by the Supreme Court or other competent court or by the Election Commission.
