(1) The Government, shall act upon, suomotu or on the recommendation of Designated Officer, either suspend or revoke the registration granted to a Child Care Institution on any of the grounds specified below.
(2) The Registration of a Child Care Institution under rule 23(3) R/W 26 (4) by the Registering Authority, Director,(Social Welfare)/ Member-Secretary (UTPCPS) may be suspended on any one or more of the following grounds, namely:-
(a) violation of any of the provisions of Juvenile Justice Act or the rules made thereunder, relating to child care institution;
(b) furnishing false information or forged documents to District Child Protection Unit or Government or the Authority.
(c) adverse findings of the Inspection Committee, the Authority, Government or District Child Protection Unit or Child Welfare Committee or Designated Officer concerned, regarding the functioning of the Child Care Institution;
(d) Financial irregularities or malpractices
(e) misuse or diversion of grant received from the Government for the purposes other than the purposes for which they were received;
(f) non-compliance of instructions issued from time to time by the Authority, Government concerned or the District Child Protection Unit; and
(g) abuse or neglect of children in the Child Care Institution.
(3) Provided that prior to cancellation or withholding of Registration an opportunity shall be given to Child Care Institution to show cause within 15 days as to why action should not be taken against the Child Care Institution.
