Section 2: Definitions

In these rules, unless the context otherwise requires,-

(3) "Agricultural Marketing Adviser" means the Agricralnzrnl Marketing Adviser to the Government ofIndia»

(b) "Authorised packer" means a person or a body or“ persons who has been granted a certificate of authorisation to grsde and mark the pulses in swordance with the grade standards and procedureprescribed under these rules;

(c) "Certificate of Authorisation" means a certificate issued under the provisions of the General Grading and Marking Rules, i988 authorising a person or a body of persons to grade and mark pulses withthe grade designation mark;

(6) “General Grading and Marking Rules" means the General (lra'a'ing and Marking Rules, I988 made under seen‘rm 3 cfthe Agricultural Produce {Grading and Marking) Act, l937 (l of 1937);

(e) "Grade designation mark“ means tile Agmarlr firsignia referred to in rule 5.

{0 "Schedule” means a Schedule appended to these rules.
