Section 11: Approval for sale of semen and embryos imported into Punjab

The Punjab Bovine Breeding Rules-2021State Rules of Punjab · 2016

(1) The registered semen banks shall apply for approval of sale of semen doses imported into Punjab in Form 'I'.

(2) The grant of approval shall be subject to the fulfillment of conditions of approval for import granted by the Government of India and latest guidelines for import of germplasm.

(3) The semen bank shall have an authentic error free system for recording artificial inseminations and follow-up action up to calf born.

(4) No permission for sale of semen shall be granted for semen imported into Punjab, sourced from a Bull which does not meet the Bull Standards published or revised by the Authority, conditions and guidelines for breeding bull laid down by the Authority, Government, Government of India and Breeding Policy of the State of Punjab.
